“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it."

Tid-Bits About Me

Here are some little tid-bits about me that you may want to know...or may not. So if you are interested, please read on my friend.
  • I was born in Houston, Texas.
  • Graduated college from the University of Utah.
  • I love reading, especially fiction.
  • The Oregon coast is one of my favorite places in the world.
  • I'm 5'1 1/2 (yes, I'm short ergo the nickname Runty).
  • I have created 4 board games - all when I was in elementary school.
  • I'm Greek and very proud of it -- Greek Danced for 8 years of my life. Traveled all over USA.
  • I have a big fat Greek family.
  • My last name is pronounced (rude) but is spelled (Ruud) and no...I'm not "rude" and yes, I have heard that for most of my life growing up.
  • I live among the greatest mountains in the USA; I can't ski to save my life.
  • I would rather hang out with children than adults.
  • I played softball for 5 years - I always attempted to hit the ball; probably struck out more than anyone on my team. But I felt a sort of accomplishment for trying to hit it (hated walking the bases).
  • I love all animals. Right now I have: 3 cats and a beagle.
  • I'm ambidextrous; I write & eat with my left hand - everything else is done with the right.
  • I'm probably the weirdest person you'll ever have the privilege to meet. But I truly believe in being yourself...it keeps life interesting that way don't you think?
  • I love Disney movies. My top favorite four are: The Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, and the Lion King.
  • Another movie growing up that I watched practically 24/7 was Hook. I love anything to do with Peter Pan and wanted to belong in the world of Neverland.
  • Favorite book series is Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. But the book which made me fall in love with books before HP, was Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine.
  • Mexican food is my weakness and is definitely my favorite type of food.
  • Camping and swimming are my two favorite hobbies besides reading and writing. I just love being in the great outdoors!
  • I'm not high maintenance in the slightest; don't really like shopping either (might be the only girl that can admit that).
  • I love candy, even more than dessert. Favorite candy: DOTS & Hot Tamales.
  • I like watching the Animal Planet (I Shouldn't Be Alive - very interesting the survival skills people have).
  • Paranormal stuff really interests me, but I'm afraid of "ghosts."
  • I'm the definition of a bookworm.
  • I'm a hopeless romantic.
  • I believe in fate & positive thinking.
...to be continued...
